Just a reminder to the world that there is this glorious feminist thing called the Hawkeye Initiative. Where people draw Hawkeye (and possibly other avengers) in various sexual poses that comic artists generally depict women in.

Just saw this movie for the umpteenth time the other day and laughed just as hard as I did the first time. There was a great making-of show on the DVD, where Gene Wilder and others talked a lot about the writing and the production, and there were amazing bloopers. It’s great to hear they had a hugely fun time making it.

Never Going Back Again / RumoursFleetwood Mac

Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm never going back again

First record I stole. I don’t mean to romance the idea of stealing records, but there’s something weirdly reassuring about finding your mother’s copy of a record at sixteen that she spun when she was sixteen. These eleven deeply fucked up, gorgeous songs somehow made me realize that, yeah, my parents probably did feel close to the exact same way when “Never Going Back Again” plucked on about giving up on an ex.

My grandpa let me take the record player with me so I could listen to this record more and I have yet to return it…thanks Fleetwood Mac, you turned me into a freeloader and I love you for it.

Played 522 times.

"Then when G-d asks [Cain], ‘Where is your brother Abel?’ he arrogantly responds, ‘I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?’
In essence, the entire Bible is written as an affirmative response to this question."

"I was entirely happy. Perhaps we feel like that when we die and become a part of something entire, whether it is sun and air. or goodness and knowledge. At any rate, that is happiness; to be dissolved into something complete and great. When it comes to one, it comes as naturally as sleep."
— Willa Cather, My Antonia
